Ideal for when your shipment doesn’t fit in standard truck load configurations.

Woodside has thousands of carriers available to assist with bulky loads that can’t be easily accommodated by dry van service. We’ve completed many thousands of loads in the last 20 years, and manage all aspects of the engagement — from ensuring carriers have tarps and straps to protect commodities to permitting, routing and escort arrangement. Flatbed, step-deck, over-dimensional and RGN configurations are available. And, of course, you can track your shipments in real-time, from anywhere.

Intermodal Transport

Cost-effective for a broad range of goods, when delivery time is flexible.

Intermodal transport takes advantage of North America’s extensive railroad network to deliver both your goods and significant cost savings. Indeed, one train can haul the equivalent of almost 300 trucks, and savings on one lane alone can total tens of thousands of dollars over the course of a year. Intermodal transport not only is less expensive than trucks alone--it reduces cargo handling, improves security and reduces damages and losses.

Our routing specialists will work with you (and our preferred air partners) to determine the most cost-effective air shipping method to meet your deadlines. Once a carrier is secured, we’ll make sure all compliance and documentation is completed—whether the shipment is domestic or international.

Heavy Haul

From proper equipment to permits and escorts, we get the job done safely and on-time.

We have access to the specialized equipment to get the heaviest, most ungainly loads – up to 400,000 pounds – where they need to be. Whether it’s heavy equipment for a construction project or turbines for a wind farm installation, Woodside has the expertise to deliver on the most complex assignments. Our heavy haul transport pool includes drop deck extendables, double drop extendables, 9-13 axle configurations, double neck super 13 axles, 19 axle configurations, and dual lane dollie systems. Once we’ve designed the transportation package to meet your objectives, we’ll obtain all the necessary permits and escorts to insure your project runs smoothly.
